The South Shore Association is located on South Bay Road, approximately 1 mile south of Oneida Lake. The club is open 7 days a week year round with a few exceptions. The hours vary so it's a good idea to call ahead if you're thinking about stopping by before 10:00 am, or after 8:00 pm during the week. We have an active club with approximately 950 members. Membership meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm. Our facilities include an active bar and limited kitchen facilities. The clubhouse is available to rent for private parties, meetings, etc. If you're interested in renting the club, please call and talk with us.
Our grounds include the following: Two Trap Fields that are used year round. 100 Yard rifle & pistol range. Archery practice area with tree stand platform for elevated shooting.
Membership runs January through December, and dues are as follows: New members - $51.00, Early-Bird Renewal (Dec 1st - Dec 31st) $41.00. Renewal (after Jan 1st) $46.00 . Renewal after March 1st $51.00. Membership applications are available at the club during operating hours. If you’re interested in joining the club, please stop by for a tour of the facilities.
At the August general membership meeting it was announced that the club has purchased the almost 5 acres of land that was for sale that is adjacent to the south of the club. Extending the buffer to your property. Congratulations new land owners.
Update 10/08/15 The Club is looking at a proposal to expanding its gun range to 150 yards. Work is expected to begin when range has
been cleared of the lead and trees are cut down.
Update 01/06/16 work on the range should begin again this spring 2017.
Update 02/03/16 Nominations for the upcoming elections of Club Officers are now being accepted at the bar before the
next Club meeting on March 2. Now Closed
Update 11/02/16 range work appears to be done for the year. Lead has been collected and more work is to follow in the spring 2017.
Update: 01/03/18 Newly redesigned range structure has been completed . Metal roof added and new concrete flooring expanded. Enjoy!
